Introduction
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018, replacing Data Protection Act 1998. GDPR applies to personal data. Put simply, personal data is any information which relates to a living person.
This Data Protection Policy sets out Ben’s Kitcen commitment to protecting personal data and how that commitment is implemented with regard to the collection, processing and use of personal data, in line with meeting requirements of, including the any legal obligations as laid down by, the GDPR. Information collected for bookings for events - including but not limited to weddings, parties and private chefs.
We will ask for:

- address,
- email address,
- telephone number,
- event type,
- event information.
This data is used to fulfil our service and is not passed on to any third party.
*All information collected is destroyed after a period of 6 months.
** We may use your email address in marketing OUR service and products; this would be via a bulk email system, where you have the option to opt out of receiving further emails. If at the point of ordering you do not wish to receive such email please notify us.
What rights do I have?
You have the right to ask Ben’s Kitchen for a copy of your personal data, to correct, delete or restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal data. You can also request a specific set or piece of information, or information about how your data has been used and shared. (Note that organisations are no longer able to charge a fee for this, and the information must be provided within 30 days.)
